Started in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Funny Bus has been providing fun and excitement to guests of all ages for more than seven years. In Cleveland, the Funny Bus features local comedians showcasing the highlights of our beloved city and the surrounding area. Guests can bring beer and wine, too.

On Wednesday nights this summer, WMMS’ Alan Cox Show and the Funny Bus, two of Cleveland’s powerhouses of comedy and entertainment, have joined forces to give you an amazing night of fun. Join the hosts of Cleveland’s highest-rated afternoon radio show while exploring the city’s most interesting neighborhoods and entertainment districts on this 90-minute trip. Your tour guide is a local comedian who will put a flavorful, fun spin on the sights, sounds, and history of the area.
As always, you can bring your own beer and wine on the Funny Bus, but Collision Bend Brewing Company, our departure point, has offered to make your Night Out with the Alan Cox Show even more entertaining! Stop by the bar before the tour on Wednesday nights and present your digital ticket and you’ll get two free beers per ticket.
If we had seatbelts on the Funny Bus, we would tell you to buckle in for the fun, but we don’t – so sit back, crack a beer, and get ready to laugh on this hilarious, one-of-a-kind tour experience!

The Cleveland Funny Bus departs from Collision Bend Brewing Company, 1250 Old River Road, located on the East Bank of the Flats. There are several access points to the East Bank of the Flats from downtown Cleveland including West St. Clair Ave. and Huron Road. If approaching from the West, take West 25th Street and veer right onto Columbus Road to enter the Flats area. Follow signs to the East Bank. Guest can also take advantage of the Cleveland RTA rail system with the Green and Blue lines dropping guests just a few feet from Collision Bend Brewing Company.
There are several paid parking lots in the East Bank of the Flats with one located directly adjacent to Collision Bend Brewing Company and there is a limited amount of street parking. Guest can also take advantage of the Cleveland RTA rail system with the Green and Blue lines dropping guests just a few feet from Collision Bend Brewing Company. Another seasonal option is the Cleveland Metro Parks Water Taxi which transports guests for free from a large parking area on West Bank to the East bank – be sure to check their seasonal schedule here. Please plan ample time for parking so you arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. The tour cannot wait for guests who arrive late.

Unless otherwise notified, tours run rain or shine. In the summer and warmer conditions, the bus is open-air and does NOT have air conditioning. During heavy rains, windows are covered with clear vinyl for your comfort. During colder weather, windows are also covered and heaters keep the bus warm and cozy. Please dress appropriately.
Each tour will last about 90 minutes with a 15-minute bathroom break in the middle of the tour. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis within the two-person bench seats on the bus. If you have a ticket you have a seat and there isn’t a bad seat on the bus; however, if you have a larger group, we suggest you arrive early to secure seating next to each other. All sales are final and our policy is NO REFUNDS for any reason. In the rare event that management must cancel a tour, you will be issued a refund. If we are forced to cancel a tour for any reason, we will make every attempt to notify you at least two hours before your scheduled tour. All passengers will be notified using the contact information you provided during the booking process. Beer and wine only, please – no liquor allowed. If you bring a cooler, it must fit on your lap or under the seat. Passengers under the age of 21 are not permitted to consume alcoholic beverages and passengers are expected to comply with all local regulations. All beverages must be closed when you board the bus and no open containers will be allowed off the bus. Drinking alcohol on an empty stomach is not recommended and may cause dizziness, floppiness, embarrassment, nausea, swelling, and jail time. The jokes heard on the bus are adult in nature and are similar to what you would hear in a comedy club, thus, just like an R-rated movie, no one under 17 is permitted. The only exception is the PG-13 tour which is offered only in Charlotte, NC. There are no safety belts on the Funny Bus so for safety reasons, no car seats, small children, or babies are allowed. Refunds will not be issued for tickets purchased for small children or babies. The bus does not have a wheelchair lift. However, we do our best to accommodate all of our passengers and can store small mobility devices on the bus if necessary. Please call us to discuss your specific requirements. Gratuities are never expected but always appreciated. All gratuities are divided equally between the driver and the comedian. Your comedian will provide an opportunity for gratuities at the end of your tour. We also accept Venmo. Incidental charges are extremely rare; however, a charge can be incurred if a guest causes damage to the bus such as through vandalism or the release of bodily fluids (vomit, urine, etc..). The minimum charge is $100.00.
The Funny Bus Does Private Tours Too!
The best way to bring a group together is through laughter! Our private tours can accommodate up to 34 people and are great for company team-building activities or customer appreciation events. Personal celebrations like family reunions, neighborhood gatherings, and birthdays are always a hit on the Funny Bus too. Private parties can bring beer & wine and there is always a beverage and bathroom break at the halfway point. We can customize tour start times and pickup locations (a surcharge may be applied based on distance). If your group isn’t that big, don’t worry, for parties of 20 or more, we offer discounts on our regularly scheduled public tours too.

Had an absolute blast. First off it is super convenient getting picked up in the flats at Collision Bend Brewery. The Funny Bus staff was warm and welcoming as we got on the bus. The interior was roomy and comfortable. Our small cooler fit perfectly under the seat and the seats even had a bottle opener attached. The tour was informative and the comedian was hilarious. Kudos to the funny bus as this has been long overdue for Cleveland. Can’t wait to book our next trip.

Dean and Sarah Schnurr are married and combined have more than 50 years of experience in marketing, public relations and management. As seasoned event planners, they have a keen understanding of what is necessary to make an experience memorable and they have used those skills to ensure Funny Bus tours provide top notch entertainment.
Dean grew up in Northern Ohio and Sarah has lived here for 25 year. They have a great knowledge of the Cleveland area and since starting the Funny Bus in 2020 they have immersed themselves in the local comedy scene. They pride themselves on identifying the finest comedians to provide tours and ensure the guests are laughing the whole trip.
